BLOCK CARBON FILTER IN WATER PURIFIERS

A block carbon filter, also known as a carbon block filter, is a type of water filter that uses activated carbon to remove impurities from water. The activated carbon is formed into a solid block or cartridge that water flows through, and the carbon absorbs impurities such as chlorine, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and sediment.

The block carbon filter works by using activated carbon, which is highly porous and has a large surface area for adsorption. As water passes through the filter, contaminants in the water are attracted to the surface of the activated carbon, where they are trapped and removed from the water. This process is known as adsorption.

Block carbon filters are commonly used in home water filtration systems, as well as in commercial and industrial settings. They are effective at removing a wide range of contaminants and improving the taste and odor of water. However, it’s important to note that block carbon filters may not remove all contaminants, such as minerals and dissolved solids, and may need to be replaced periodically to maintain their effectiveness.
